A further challenge was presented to the Childrens Mission in early 2023 after a visit by the local Education Authority to inspect the newly refurbished School facilities. To maintain the School's educational standards it was now a requirement for them to create a new Science Laboratory and a new Computer Laboratory to be connected to the internet with a minimum number of computers for the use of the Pupils. Fortunately, Childrens Aid International (Kenya) back here in the UK had accrued a small amount of funds for unseen contingencies such as this but not enough to cover all these particular necessary requirements. Within a few months at the start of the year sufficient funds had been raised with two especially large donations from previously generous Benefactors which has enabled both the Science and Computer Laboratories to be completed together with the installation of the required number of Solar Panels and controls to enable these areas to be completely self sufficient.
